Soundsystems
CAB F21:
The sound system in the CABinett is started in the film booth. First switch on the main switch behind the rack. If not all devices are switched on, check the fuses on the back of the rack.
Connecting sources
There are two ways to connect sound sources:
- In the film booth: There is a cinch connector in the rack
To the mixing console: The mixing console is in a grey box by the table next to the screen. The mixing console can be connected with XLR cable in the same box either to the left of the screen or behind the stairs (labelled "DJ").
Microphones or other sound sources can then be connected to the mixing console.
Select sources
The sound source can be selected on the box next to the door in the film booth, and the volume can be adjusted.
Subwoofer
There are two subwoofers in the CABinett, these may need to be connected to the connectors on the left of the screen.
Live
There is an additional connection to the left of the screen, labeled "Live". This connector bypasses the equalizer in the rack.
CAB D21:
The sound system in the Yu&Mi is operated behind the DJ desk. First turn on the main switch on the wall.
Connecting sources
In the Yu&Mi, sources can only be connected to the mixing console.
Select sources
The sound source can be selected from the box installed on the side of the rack.
Set Volume
The volume can be adjusted separately in the D21 for the bar area (Chill/Bar) and the remaining area (Dance). Both areas can also be set to silent by selecting the area and pressing the rotary knob. The silent mode can be cancelled in the same way. The silent mode is indicated by a red light on the knob.
Microphone
In the film booth is the microphone box with microphones and suitable cables. Connect them to the mixing console. Wireless microphones can also be rented.
Sound from the other room
For events in both rooms, you can "mirror" the sound from one room (e.g. downstairs) to the other. This is also possible via the box with which you select the sound source.
DJ-Equipment
Further DJ-equipment is available: Two CDJ-800 and two turntables. Pickups for the turntables can be brought along or rented from the StuZ.
