Beverage (TAB)
Beverage Management
For events in the CAB, organisers can order drinks from StuZ, see Order drinks.
Provide drinks
It is your task to provide the VA with the drinks he has ordered. You will receive the VA's order together with your TAB order as a Google Sheet. You can put the drinks together on a skateboard or a pallet and then bring them to the event room.
If the VA has ordered a lot of drinks, you can also arrange with the VA that you only give out part of the order and the rest as needed.
If the VA needs more drinks than he ordered, you can give out existing drinks that are not needed for upcoming events. You can check here which drinks have been ordered for upcoming events. The additional drinks have to be entered in the Google Sheet with the order.
Take back drinks
After the event, you can take back drinks and sort them in the drinks store that have not yet been opened. This must also be entered in the order sheet.
Ice
An ice machine is available in the kitchen of the CABinett for events in the CAB. For events in the Yu&Mi you can open the kitchen upstairs for the VA to get ice cream.
Cool down drinks
The bars in the CAB are equipped with refrigerated drawers and cooling compartments where you can cool drinks. You should switch on the drawers as soon as you arrive at the CAB and switch them off after the event.
Beer dispencer
In the CAB there are tapping facilities available in both event rooms: In the Yu&Mi there are two taps, in the CABinett four.
Prepare:
Sometimes the connections are a little bit stuck, then you can fill an ice container or bucket with warm water and soak the connections for a short time. Check if the tap is plugged in and switched on.
Change beer barrel:
- Remove the old barrel: Pull the lever and push the lever up. Turn the connector counterclockwise a quarter turn.
- Connect a new barrel: Remove the plastic cover. Make sure that the lever is in the upper position. Lock the connector by turning it a quarter turn clockwise, pull the lever and push it down. Make sure that the lever engages.
Rinsing and aftercare:
After use, the taps must be rinsed. Rinsing drums are available for this purpose.
To rinse, first fill the rinsing barrel with cold water and then connect it to a connection. Then tap at the corresponding tap until only clear water comes out of the tap. Before removing the rinsing barrel, disconnect the gas supply and release the pressure from the barrel.
After rinsing, close the gas cylinder at all connections.
Change gas bottle:
From time to time the CO2 bottles at the taps have to be replaced. In the warehouse with the small door (D27) there are new cylinders. In the Yu&Mi the smaller bottles should be used, in the CABinett the larger ones. There is a wrench at both tapping stations. Close the gas bottle before replacing it.
